Our campaign to help street dogs of Sri Lanka
Starting the 1st September 2021, we are running a campaign on Facebook in order to help the street dogs of Sri Lanka. Let’s explain how it works. Simply “like” our Facebook page during the promotion and for every 1 “like” we receive we donate 20p to the Dogstar Foundation.
For every five pounds raised by us goes to feed ten street dogs.

Prevention
Dogstar Foundation is an award winning registered charity based in Sri Lanka for the past 15 years. Sri Lanka has a real problem with its large population of street and beach dogs. However, you can stop these problems before they even start. Dogstar’s mobile spaying/neutering and vaccination clinics prevent disease, suffering and unwanted pups. Currently they have sterilised over 49,000 dogs.
But they don’t stop there. Rabies is deadly for dogs and humans, but it’s 100% preventable through a vaccine. Dogstar has vaccinated over 63,000 Sri Lankan dogs. No one should die from a vaccine-preventable disease.
Education
When people know how to care for dogs, their welfare improves and streets are safer. They team up with schools and local veterinary professionals to create a whole community of knowledgeable dog owners.
Treatment
Thousands of street dogs in Sri Lanka are suffering from parasites and painful skin conditions. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Dogstar’s expert veterinary teams are passionate about delivering care that puts a stop to endless suffering, giving dogs both their hair and their lives back.
The last 18 months have been some of the most challenging we have faced as an organisation. We are so grateful to Andy and the animal loving team at Vibrant Imagination , whose Help Street Dogs campaign will result in 400 Sri Lankan street dogs receiving a tasty home cooked meal.
